Working across cultures in the NDIS - Building networks to support people with a disability from CALD communities.

The Centre for Culture, Ethnicity and Health (CEH) and the Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria (ECCV)are working to support the transition to the NDIS for people of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

 

CEH and ECCV are running a FREE training and networking session for disability service providers in the Westto enhance their reach and engagement with people with disabilities and their families/carers from diverse backgrounds.

 

A facilitated networking event to:

  • support collaboration between disability service providers, ethnic and multicultural organisations,
  • share knowledge about their services,

  • build networks and

  • establish partnerships to ensure greater choice and control for NDIS participants from diverse backgrounds.

 

This session includes a panel of representatives from the NDIA, Local Area Coordination and the North West Migrant & Refugee Centre.
